French Press
French press brewing reveals the full character of specialty coffee, preserving its natural oils for a rich body, smooth texture, and expressive flavor.
It’s especially well suited to medium or darker roasts. Lighter, floral coffees can also taste excellent, though their subtle notes may be less distinct than with a paper-filtered method.
Rinse the carafe with hot water, then discard.
Add 30 g coarsely ground coffee and tare the scale.
Add 60–70 g water, stir gently, and wait 30 sec.
Pour to 450 g total. Add the lid, but do not press. Steep until 4:00.
Press slowly and gently. Pour immediately to prevent bitterness.
